Patrick embodies an ethos of diligence and perseverance in pursuit of his objectives. Despite being the third of four siblings, with parents who lacked formal education—his father only completed seventh grade and his mother didn't finish high school—Patrick learned the value of hard work and determination from his upbringing.

Despite modest financial circumstances, his parents provided a stable home environment and instilled in him strong moral principles. Financial constraints prompted Patrick to start working from a young age, taking on jobs like yard work and delivering newspapers during elementary and middle schools. His “breakthrough” came when he secured a position as a fry cook at the Doggie Diner, followed by employment at Sears Eastridge. These jobs not only provided income but also facilitated his ability to afford essentials like a car, clothing, and eventually, funding for his education.

Patrick's educational journey was marked by tenacity. He pursued an undergraduate degree in microbiology/biochemistry, followed by a one-year postgraduate study leading to certification in medical technology. He also earned certification as a Registered Microbiologist by the American Academy of Microbiology and a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

His commitment to self-improvement extended into his professional life. While working as a Bacteriologist at Mills Memorial Hospital in San Mateo, Patrick dedicated his evenings to advancing his business education, by attending night classes to study undergraduate business courses before gaining admission to an MBA program. He eventually transitioned into the real estate sector in 1986—a career move that proved to be transformative.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Patrick is a multifaceted individual with diverse interests. He is an accomplished drummer, playing with various bands such as the South County Blues Band and the DuKanes.  He routinely gets calls for play drums in "pick up" bands, as well.

His passion for music is complemented by his avid reading habits, particularly in American and military history focusing on the period from 1850 to the present day, with a penchant for biographies of political and military figures. Additionally, Patrick indulges in hobbies like collecting pens and watches, working out and exploring his neighborhood on his road bike while attending to his real estate listings in Willow Glen.
