CEO & Co-Founder

Chris began his real estate career after graduating from Cal Poly, SLO in 1990. He was a salesperson at Contempo Realty from 1990 until the company was acquired in 1997 by NRT/Century 21. He remained a real estate salesperson at Century 21 Seville-Contempo from 1997 until 2000. In July of 2000, he became Branch Manager of Century 21-Seville-Contempo. The company was brand-merged with Coldwell Banker/NRT in 2001 and soon thereafter Chris became Sales Manager of both Coldwell Banker Los Gatos offices managing a team of 200 Realtors closing in excess of $1B in annual sales.

In 2002, Chris was promoted to President and COO of Coldwell Banker/NRT Silicon Valley becoming the youngest in this level role nationally. This role included oversight of 17 offices and 1500 agents, producing $8 billion in annual sales volume. Yearning to bring back a local focus on quality real estate in Silicon Valley, Sereno was launched in July of 2006. Sereno is motivated by more of a socially responsible philosophy versus the typical, bottom-line, solely profit driven business objectives. Through their 1% for Good Program, Sereno gave over $700,000 to local non-profits in 2023 and was recognized by the SV Business Journal and SF Business Times as one of the top Corporate givers. The firm has donated well over $6,000,000 to date.

Christie's Sereno has become the SF Bay Area's largest and most productive locally operated and owned real estate firm. Sereno's 17 offices and it's remarkable, (650) sales associates are responsible for $7 Billion in residential real estate sales annually. Ranked among the top 3 residential real estate firms in Silicon Valley overall in 2020 and among the top 5 in the nation in terms of per agent production and highest average sales price. Sereno Group was also named the #1 Best Place to Work in the Bay Area by the Bay Area News Group in 2022 for the fourteenth year in a row.

Chris is a Los Gatos Rotarian, serves on Cal Poly SLO's Foundation Board, Chair's Cal Poly SLO's President's Council of Advisors and is on the University's College of Liberal Arts, Dean's Advisory Council.
