In 2018 the Sereno Group Los Gatos, Willow Glen and Saratoga offices joined forces and donated a $50,000 grant to Habitat for Humanity’s Mabury Bridge Housing Community. Throughout 2019, several groups of Sereno Group agents and staff volunteered onsite to help build the emergency sleeping cabins that would act as safe, comfortable places to stay while an array of home services from HomeFirst helped find the support needed to transition those experiencing homelessness back to permanent housing.

The Mabury Bridge Housing Community opened at the end of November 2019 and in the first seven months 30 successful residents had been placed into permanent housing. Juanita was one of the first residents and the community’s first success story. You can read about her journey HERE

Pet Resources:

Wag Hotels in Santa Clara is providing 7 days of free boarding on a first-come, first-served basis as long as you have your pet’s vaccination records.

VCA is offering free boarding for pets for up to 2 weeks, and will provide a 20% discount toward any procedures for any pets injured due to the wildfires.

Springdale Kennels in San Jose is providing boarding for $20/day.
