Sereno Group Willow Glen Announces Legal Advocates For Children And Youth As Their 1% For Good 4th Quarter Recipient

WILLOW GLEN—October 25, 2012. Sereno Group’s Willow Glen office announced Legal Advocates for Children and Youth (LACY) as the 4th quarter recipient for their 1% for Good philanthropy campaign. During the months of October, November, and December, the Sereno Group Willow Glen team will be pledging 1% of their gross commissions to LACY in support of their programs.

LACY works within the Santa Clara County foster care program whose mission is to advance the legal rights of children and youth with the hope of empowering them to lead healthy and productive lives. Lacy acts as the legal advocate for children who are presently within or have been emancipated from the Santa Clara County foster care system, a majority of whom do not have the resources or skills necessary to navigate the legal complexities often faced as a ward of the state.

Earlier this year, Sereno Group announced the launch of their new 1% for Good charitable philanthropy program. With 1% for Good, Sereno Group has pledged to give 1% of their gross commissions to a charitable or community minded organization committed to making a positive difference in the community.

The program will be organized and directed by committees within each respective Sereno Group office. This structure allows each office the opportunity to choose local organizations and will allow their philanthropic contribution to have a direct impact on the local communities. Organizations will be selected on a quarterly basis by each office, with the 90 day aggregate sum of donation dollars being delivered to the chosen beneficiary organizations at the end of each period.
