Sereno Group Santa Cruz Announces The Cultural Council Of Santa Cruz County As Their 1st Quarter 1% For Good Recipient

SANTA CRUZ—February 9, 2013. Sereno Group’s Santa Cruz office announced the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County as the recipient for their 1% for Good philanthropy campaign. During the months of January, February, and March the Sereno Group Santa Cruz team will be pledging 1% of their gross commissions to CCSCC in support of their programs.

Sereno Group Santa Cruz’s donation will specifically support the SPECTRA and Mariposa’s Art programs within the CCSCC. This year, more than 10,000 students will participate in theater, visual arts, music, and dance through the two programs, both of which focus on students whose schools have little or no funding for arts specific education.

“We are honored to be supporting the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County,” said Roger Knapp, Realtor at Sereno Group Santa Cruz, “The Mariposa program trains and pays teens to teach and mentor kids in arts and music education. The SPECTRA program provides grants to all schools in the county for art, drama, and music education and these activities enrich the lives of students in the county. The direct impact of both these programs allows us to fulfill our goal of positively supporting our local communities.”
