Sereno Group Hosts Another Successful E-Recycle Day To Celebrate Earth Day 2013

LOS GATOS—April 30, 2013. On Sunday, April 21st, Sereno Group celebrated Earth Day by hosting a companywide e-recycle event, resulting in over 25,000 lbs of e-waste being collected at the company’s drop off sites. The company’s 2013 collection results are an over 5,000 lbs improvement from the same event during last year’s Earth Day celebration.

Sereno Group worked in partnership with Metech Recycling, one of North America’s leading Certified e-Stewards e-recyclers committed to upholding the highest standards of electronic recycling through environmental and social responsibility. Metech’s entire recycle process is focused on making sure 100% of the collected e-waste is disposed of or repurposed accordingly, avoiding landfill and adverse environmental impact.

From 9:30 am-1:30 pm on Earth Day, Sereno Group designated three of its six offices as e-waste drop off points, with e-waste delivered by people within the community. Computer screens, televisions, laptops, cell phones, CPU’s of all types were dropped off and handled by Metech team members and organized accordingly.
